What we do
We build free, interactive calculators that turn public population statistics into eye-opening dating insights. Our flagship tool, the Male Reality Calculator, lets you set filters like age range, marital status, race, height, and income — and then estimates what share of the US female population matches every one of those criteria at the same time.
We also host companion tools such as the Female Delusion Calculator (the same idea from the other side’s perspective) and short “dating standards” quizzes, all designed to be quick, visual, and shareable.
How the math works
There is no magic here — just multiplication. Each filter you select corresponds to an approximate share of the population based on publicly available US statistics (such as figures published by the US Census Bureau and the National Center for Health Statistics). For example, if roughly 30% of women fall in your chosen age range and roughly 40% of them are unmarried, the tool multiplies those shares together. Every extra filter narrows the pool further, which is exactly why the final percentage often surprises people: small requirements stack up fast.
The result is a rough statistical estimate, not a measurement of any real person. It answers a fun hypothetical: “If I picked a random woman in the US, what are the odds she would check every one of these boxes?”
Why we built this
Dating apps and social media can quietly inflate everyone’s expectations. We wanted a tool that makes population statistics feel tangible — something you can play with in 30 seconds, laugh about with friends, and maybe learn a little from. Many visitors tell us the calculator helped them think more realistically about their dating standards, and that’s exactly the point.
